Barcelona target to take a pay cut to play at Real Madrid under Zinedine Zidane

Barcelona could suffer a massive blow to their transfer ambitions after their target is set to join Real Madrid by taking a pay cut.

Real Madrid suffered their first defeat under Zinedine Zidane’s first stint when they were beaten at Valencia by a 2-1 margin. The Whites were simply second best in that game and it was another big indication of how massively they have missed creativity and goal scoring essence in the final third and on the away patch.

Paul Pogba is one such player who can pull them out of the dearth and the Manchester United midfielder has been linked with a transfer to Real Madrid lately. The World Cup winner has been on Barcelona’s radar as well, but Lionel Messi vetoed Pogba’s transfer in the summer on the basis of him being undisciplined and high headed.

However, he could apparently be on their wish list once again amid rumours of Ivan Rakitic and Philippe Coutinho potentially leaving the club. But Paul Pogba is now planning to take revenge on Barcelona and Lionel Messi this time out by joining Real Madrid, thereby even willing to take a cut in doing so.

Most importantly, Paul Pogba wants to play under his compatriot Zinedine Zidane, so that is definitely possible only at Real Madrid. Moreover, Zinedine Zidane has also spoken highly of the Manchester United midfielder and indicated that there could actually be a move on the cards for Pogba during the summer.

Paul Pogba is currently on a wage of 20 million euros annually at Manchester United and is willing to take a 25% drop to head to Real Madrid. That would mean that the former Juventus midfielder would earn 15 million euros in the Bernabeu. Also, that would give him a golden chance to rub it into Barcelona and Messi’s faces.
