Barcelona star Messi: I'd take Real Madrid defeat for Chelsea win

Barcelona star Lionel Messi says he'd accept defeat at bitter rivals Real Madrid if it meant victory in the second-leg of their Champions League semi against Chelsea.

"I'd prefer to win over Chelsea because if we lose against Madrid we will still be ahead, while in the Champions League there is no margin for error," said Messi.

Asked to predict a score for the El Clasico, Messi added: "No matter the result, 0-1 or 0-2 it is the same. The important thing is the victory. Hopefully a goal from me, but it does not matter."
