Barcelona, Spurs watch as Portillo to sign new Real Madrid deal

Javier Portillo is set to ink a new contract at Real Madrid this week.

The Spanish U23 international striker, who was linked with Charlton and Tottenham over the summer, will earn £200,000-a-year, with the player's buyout clause set at £24 million.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta has also been linked with Portillo, who remains behind the likes of Ronaldo, Raul and Guti at Real.
