Barcelona's Puyol: I'd consider Real Madrid

Barcelona defender Carles Puyol has confirmed he'd consider an offer from Real Madrid.

Puyol has emerged as a shock target for Real president Florentino Perez with coach Jose Antonio Camacho demanding a new central defender to play alongside summer signing Walter Samuel.

"I know there are rumors, but I am very calm here," said Puyol. "If some club wants to me, first it will have to speak with Barça."

"I have a clause of £120 million, that is a madness, so they already know what they must do."

"For me, Barça is the best team in the world, although if it reached an agreement I would study the offer. I do not open nor close doors."

He added to AS, "Clearly, I have a good relationship with Iker (Casillas), Raul and others, but it is the normal thing when players come together for the national team, that does not mean anything."
