Barcelona, Real Madrid see below-par Adu

DC United striker Freddy Adu turned in a subdued performance in last night's friendly against Getafe.

The 16 year-old played 45 minutes of DC's 3-1 defeat, in which Getafe's January signing Jaja turned in a five-star display in his first outing for Bernd Schuster's senior team.

Scouts from Barcelona and Real Madrid attended the game to run their eye over Adu, who admitted in the post-match media conference that he'd "love to play in the Spanish Liga one day".
