Barcelona ready to send Saviola to Monaco

Barcelona are prepared to accept AS Monaco's request of a loan deal for striker Javier Saviola.

Originally, Barca had only wanted to sell the Argentina international, but they're now prepared to send him to France on a year-long loan.

Everything will depend on Barca's pursuit of Mallorca striker Sammy Eto'o. If the Cameroon international arrives at the Nou Camp next week, then fellow non-EU player Saviola will be offloaded to make room for the African.
