Barcelona No1 Valdes blasts Real Madrid moaners

Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes has hit out at Real Madrid moaning about referees influencing their campaign this season.
 
"If you're champions, you let the tiny issues bother your rivals," said Valdes.

"I understand the controversy. It always is around the referees. It is important to respect the referees a little more, I do not believe that they want to harm anyone. I believe that it is unnecessary to exaggerate so much with respect to what has been happening."

Valdes added: "We won and Real Madrid lost. I don't know if it hurt them, but surely if you're chasing a team and you lose and they win ... it's going to effect you. We were lucky, sure, and we continue depending on ourselves.

"I don't believe the referees harm or benefit any team."
