Barcelona increasingly worried Florentino wants Messi at Real Madrid

Concerns are growing at Barcelona that Florentino Perez will attempt to lure Lionel Messi to Real Madrid over the summer.

Messi's buyout clause is set at £120 million and if Perez wins the Real presidential election, he will have the cash power to sign the Argentine superstar.

Barca president Laporta said last night: "Florentino? Here it is deja vu. It is something that has already happened with (Luis) Figo and I do not like leaving the door open to this."

"I do not want Real to take any of our players away, it would be a really hostile thing to do and a lack of respect towards Barcelona."
