Barcelona chief: We'll wait for Eto'o

Barcelona sports director Txiki Begiristain says they're prepared to make Real Madrid sweat over their bid for Mallorca striker Sammy Eto'o.

"We've done all that has been asked of us to make this deal happen," said Rosell before he jetted to Japan along with new signing Edmilson.

Mallorca have accepted Barca's £16 million offer for Eto'o and the Nou Camp giants have also agreed personal terms with the player.

Barca president Joan Laporta has delayed his flight to Japan to oversee developments regarding Eto'o's transfer.

Laporta is convinced Real Madrid will agree to allow Eto'o to move to Barca, with their only other option being to match the Catalans' offer and sign the African - who cannot be fielded by Real this season due to his non-EU status.
