Barcelona can afford Real Madrid defeat - Laporta

Barcelona can afford to lose at Real Madrid this weekend, says president Joan Laporta.

Defeat will see their lead cut to six points, but Laporta insists: "That possibility (of losing) won't end our dream of winning the championship."

"I trust the players and the coaching staff and am convinced Barcelona will win the Liga."

"If we beat Real Madrid, Barca will go 12 points clear."

"This game is the biggest in the world. Barca are in a superb position in the Liga, but we will maintain our focus. Only when it is mathematically impossible for us to lose the title will we celebrate."
