Barcelona and Real Madrid linked with AC Milan full-back

The AC Milan defender Mattia De Sciglio is reportedly the subject of interest from the La Liga giants of Real Madrid and Barcelona.

The 23-year-old has spent his entire senior career with the Rossoneri and his contract is set to expire in 2017.

According to Tuttomercatoweb.com, Barca are the more seriously interested party as they have the former Milan man Ariedo Braida working as the club’s sporting director and they have been monitoring De Sciglio for some time.

However, Real Madrid are also thought to be interested as the Italian could turn out to be a relatively affordable option although his current club are also keen to tie him down to a new contract.

De Sciglio’s reputation had been hampered somewhat by a series of injuries but he has started 10 Serie A matches for the Rossoneri during the 2015-16 season as his fitness has improved.
