Barcelona aim to trump Real Madrid for Arsenal's Lauren

Arsenal fullback Lauren is set to snub Real Madrid for Spanish rivals Barcelona.

The Cameroon international is off contract in the summer and Real president Florentino Perez has claimed he has already signed with the Madrid giants.

But the Sunday Mirror says Barca technical director Txiki Beguiristain has made his terms clear to the 27-year-old, and they will offer him a £50,000-a-week three-year deal.

That is the key factor for Lauren, who has been demanding a four-year contract from Arsenal who are currently only offering a two-year renewal.
