Barca will pay €1 more than every Real offer for Ronaldo

According to press rumours arriving from Spain today, Ronaldo's saga has grown rich with another chapter. In fact it seems that Barcelona are also interested in the affair, and these rumours talk about one offer in particular: 1 Euro more than every type of offer made by Real Madrid. But at present Inter consider the idea of opening negotiations about the phenomenon's departure completely absurd. Ronaldo is expected at Inter headquarters tomorrow.

Inter have presently decided not to comment about the rumours of their summer quarrel with Ronaldo, but at the same time they are ready to point him to the obligations of respecting his contract which expires in 2006. If Ronaldo considered it unimportant not to speak with Inter president Moratti until now, from today onwards Moratti will be abroad and the Ronaldo saga will be looked at and considered by his personal assistants. Today "Gazzetta dello Sport" underlined three different possibilities to solve the quarrel: the first one sees Ronaldo accepting the fact that Inter will never sell him and in this case he'll be obliged to return at Cuper's disposal. The second possibility is that he'll decide to fight with Inter and to present himself to Cuper "without motivation" as his agent Martins declared. The third possibility would see the Brazilian arriving in Milan, speaking with Inter and explaining that the reason for these problems is Cuper and the difficulties he has with him. At that point he'll oblige the club to make a choice between him and the coach. In short he could leave, stay or give an ultimatum.

Ronaldo broke his silence yesterday, even if only on his personal website. In fact in a short declaration the Brazilian star, declared that he'll absolutely rely on his agents for the future. You can also read: "Ronaldo is going to leave Brazil: his holidays in Rio after winning the World Cup are over. Probably on Monday he'll fly to face a new season, leaving the responsibility of his professional future to his agents Reinaldo Pitta and Alexandre Martins".

But this statement doesn't really clear up anything, that's to say, until now Ronaldo hasn't spoken personally and clearly about his future far from Inter. President Moratti is waiting for his return to officially hear from his mouth that he wants to leave Inter: only in that case would Moratti believe it. In these days the Italian press and public opinion were stacked against the Brazilian due to the news, and started running criticism of Ronaldo. One of his agents, Martins, said that Italy only brought Ronie bitterness: it's true but it's also true that all supporters, and not only Inter ones, suffered immensely during the time of his two bad injuries. When he returned and scored the first goal againt Brescia, he received almost unanimous congratulations and applause from all Italian stadiums where banners announced the score. President Moratti has still considered him as a son, and offered plenty of support during the time of his injuries, defending him on every occasion. That's why Moratti wants and has the right to have a face-to-face with Ronie, just to have an explanation, just to understand the reasons of this sudden and strange behaviour.

Inter supporters have undoubtedly broken the feeling that there was which bound him to them with great affection: speaking principally of ingratitude and betrayal. What do you think?
