Barça Are Obsessed With Real

Real Madrid director of football Jorge Valdano believes rivalry between his club and Barcelona could lead the Catalans to boycot Real's centenary testimonial game.

"In Barcelona, they think too much about Real Madrid", Valdano said. "There is a chance they won't be there for the Centenary game, because Fifa named us 'Club of the 20th century'".

"They are unhappy to have missed out on it, but this shouldn't be an excuse to skip out centenary game. It'll be a universal event, so every club should attend at the Bernabeu, and Barça are kindly invited".

Valdano believes that Barça are still in the race for the Spanish title despite their run of two defeats in a row.

"Playing at Alaves is not the same thing as playing at Anfield against Liverpool".

"They have a strong squad. I don't see why two defeats should change everything at Barça overnight".
