Baptista: I'll fight for Real Madrid stay

Julio Baptista is prepared to fight for his future at Real Madrid.

The Brazil international attacker knows he is on the outer at Real following his loan last season with Arsenal, but refuses to give up hope of continuing in Madrid.

"I am going to fight to stay because that is what I want. It is an opportunity that I must take advantage of. Madrid does not have a player of my characteristics," said Baptista.

"[Ruud] van Nistelrooy is a classic goal scorer and the second strikers we have like Raul or Robinho are different to me."

"The new coach will see me and soon he will have to decide because I have three years left on my contract."
