Baptista explains why he chose Real Madrid over Arsenal

Julio Baptista has explained why he chose Real Madrid over an offer from Arsenal last month.
 
The Brazil international, who also revealed he was getting along very well with David Beckham, told AS: "There were several factors why I decided not to go to the Premier League."

"It was a very difficult change for me. It was another country, another culture, another language and adapting would be difficult. And in a year in which there is a World Cup, I could not take such a risk."

"I know that I was going there to play, but decided not to go."

"In all seriousness, I was ready to spend another year at Sevilla, but then Real Madrid have come in for me and I was very pleased to see this move happen."
