Baljic and Bolic to be reunited

Elvir Baljic looks set for a move from Real Madrid to local rivals Rayo Vallecano on a six-month loan deal, to join compatriot Elvir Bolic.

After a few days off, Baljic will tomorrow start training again with his Real team-mates. Baljic had suffered another injury to his left knee, but Madrid's medical staff are expected to give him the go-ahead to return to training tomorrow.

At the same time, the Bosnian star has started negotiations with Rayo Vallecano's board about a possible six-month loan deal. New Vallecano coach Gregorio Manzano has already talked with Baljic and told him that he wants to see him leading the Vallecano attack.

Vallecano already boasts two Bosnian players – Elvir Bolic and Emir Granov.

"The coach told me that his plan is to see me and Elvir Bolic playing at the head of Rayo's attack with Michel behind the two of us," Baljic told. "I would probably take his offer, of course, if Rayo made a deal with Real's executives about my fee."

Baljic and Bolic have already played together as an attacking pair while they were at Fenerbahce in Turkey. They split up when Baljic signed a contract with Real two years ago.

Bolic, who is still the top foreign goalscorer in the history of the Turkish championship with 114 goals, stayed for one more season after Baljic left and finally signed a contract with Vallecano at the beginning of last season.
