Balic wants to try again at Real Madrid

Bosnian forward Elvir Balic wants to return to Real Madrid from Turkey's Fenerbahce where he has been playing on loan this season. "I came here to play but it wasn't what I'd expected. I'm leaving at the end of the season. At the start of next season I'll start training at Real Madrid. After that, who knows?," Anatolian news agency quoted Balic as saying on Tuesday.

Balic has been in and out of a successful Fenerbahce side this season and has been dogged by reports of rows with coach Mustafa Denizli. Denizli reportedly dropped Balic after he was spotted out on the town with the coach's daughter.

The Bosnian international joined Real Madrid two seasons ago for $15 million on the recommendation of then coach John Toshack who had seen him playing for Fenerbahce while working in Turkey. But Balic suffered a torn cruciate ligament and played only 10 games in Madrid before returning to Fenerbahce on loan this season.
