Ayala Demands New Contract

Argentine defender Roberto Ayala has told the top-brass at Valencia that he expects them to make good on their promise of a new and improved contract before he returns from injury.

"If I was playing all this would be bothering me and my performance wouldn't be as expected," warned Ayala, who is showing signs of regretting his decision to pass on a chance to join Real Madrid in the summer out of loyalty for Valencia.

The powers that be at the Mastella will have to act quick to appease their top defender ahead of Saturday's big match at home to, of all teams, Real Madrid.
