Atletico to face Deportivo in last 16 of King's Cup

Atletico Madrid will take on Deportivo Coruna in the outstanding King's Cup third round tie, following the draw made in Madrid on Friday.

Atletico, nine-times Cup winners, will play the first leg at home in the week commencing January 5, with Deportivo, Cup winners in 1995 and 2002, hosting the return a week later.

Four more all-first division ties were thrown up in the draw for the last 16, including a clash between Valencia and Osasuna, second and fourth in the Primera Liga table, respectively.

Real Madrid's reward for coming through a bruising second round clash with Leganes in extra-time will be a trip to the Basque country to face second division Eibar, with the return at the Bernabeu.

Barcelona, who moved smoothly through with a 4-0 win over Ciudad de Murcia, will have a trickier tie against promotion favourites Levante, who knocked out holders Real Mallorca in the second round this week.
