Atletico Madrid raided city rivals Real signing promising young midfielder Jose Manuel Jurado on a four year contract for a fee reported to be 3 million euros with the selling club having the option of buying him back over the next two years.

The 20-year-old was wanted by several other Spanish clubs and while Real's sporting director Predrag Mijatovic said that they recognised what a talent he was but Real could not guarantee him enough playing time.
Jurado is just the latest of Atletico's spending spree during the summer.
They have signed Argentinian young talent Sergio Aguero, Portuguese duo Ze Castro and Costinha, Spanish international Mariano Pernia and Greek star Giorgios Seitaridis.
The club - coached by Mexican Javier Aguirre - is also keen to sign Portuguese international Maniche from Dynamo Moscow.
