Atletico ace Reyes slams Real Madrid spending

Atletico Madrid attacker Jose Antonio Reyes has slammed Real Madrid directors for the way they treated him as his move from Arsenal was up-in-the-air this summer.

Reyes revealed just as he was about to sign for Atletico, Real sports chief Pedja Mijatovic called him "and told me that I could not join Atletico".

He added: "The people in high positions did not behave well."

"The could have signed me for £4-5 million and have since paid £24 million for Arjen Robben and £20 million for Pepe."
