AS Roma Turn Attentions Back To Morientes

AS Roma are set to hold meetings with Real Madrid over a possible loan deal to sign Fernando Morientes.

The Merengues are open to the possibility of the player going out on loan for a year, with the option of a permanent deal next summer. Roma general manager Franco Baldini is expected to meet with an agent of the Spanish club very soon.

If long-time target Morientes proves unreachable, Roma may look to Valencia's John Carew to solve their striking problems.
