Arsenal watch as Real Madrid's Guti says: I'll never play for Barcelona

Real Madrid attacker Jose Guti says he would never consider joining Barcelona.

The Spanish international's future at Real is under a cloud after he expressed frustration at the lack of first team opportunities he has had this season.

Arsenal watched Guti in a Spanish Cup tie last week and is being linked with a summer move for the versatile forward.

Guti said, "I am a madridista. I do not imagine Guti in shirt of Barcelona. It is like imagining Puyol in the shirt of Real Madrid."

He added, "Real Madrid has made it clear that I am important and that I can contribute things, and that is the best thing for me."
