Arsenal to offer £15M for Real Madrid target Robinho

Arsenal are threatening to wreck Real Madrid's plans to land Santos wing wizard Robinho.
 
The Sunday Mirror says Madrid are hot favourites to land the striker, but Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is said to be weighing up a £15million bid for the 21-year-old.

Wenger's scouts sat with the player's agent Wagner Ribeiro to watch Robinho in action for Santos in the 3-0 win against Atletico Mineiro last week.

But Robinho has dismissed the attention from the Gunners, and says he is happy to stay at the Sao Paulo club - for now.

"The Arsenal scouts were there to look at the soccer in general," said Robinho. "Not only Santos and not only me."

Robinho is also a target for Chelsea and Barcelona, and despite insisting he is content at Santos, a £15m bid will prise him away from South America.
