Arsenal to move for Real Madrid midfielder, will pay ‘any price’

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has identified Real Madrid midfielder Marcos Llorente as a possible January transfer target and is willing to pay ‘any price’ to land him, according to Don Balon.

The 21-year-old is a product of the Spanish capital city side’s youth academy and has made two La Liga appearances for Los Blancos so far in his fledgling career.

Madrid have loaned Llorente out to Alaves for the current campaign, where he is gathering first-football experience and has impressed in 2016-17.

The versatile starlet is also a feature for the prestigious Spain under-21 team and looks like a player with a bright future in the game.

The report suggests that Arsenal are ready to do whatever it takes to land Llorente and will proceed in the knowledge that the midfielder is highly rated in the Spanish capital.

Zinedine Zidane reportedly sees the starlet as a potential alternative to Casemiro in his team in the future, but the Spaniard will have to weigh up where he is more likely to receive regular football.
