Arsenal target Reyes has swipe at Ronaldo status

Seville super-kid Jose Antonio Reyes has called for more protection from Spanish refs.

The long-term Arsenal target also believes Ronaldo will receive better attention than him from referees this season because of the Brazilian's status and also the club he plays for - Real Madrid.

Reyes said, "I am a hard player, but I must complain when I receive unfair attention from defenders. It affects my game and ability to give my best to Seville."

"I am sure Ronaldo will be protected (by referees). He is a Real Madrid player, very important and they are going to protect him."

The Spanish U19 international added, "But I can only concentrate on my own game. If I am hurt by someone, I will retire injured. If not, I will continue to play."
