Arsenal set price as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ends talks to plot Real Madrid transfer

Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has pulled out of contract talks with the club in more bad news for interim boss Freddie Ljungberg.

Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is reported to have pulled out of contract talks ahead of the club’s clash against West Ham on Monday evening. The Gunners have now gone nine games without a win, and their star striker could be trying to force through a move to Real Madrid.

The Gabonese forward has made no secret of his favour toward the Spanish giants, and revealed earlier in his career that he promised his grandfather that he would play for Los Blancos at some point.

The Sun have now claimed that the potential switch has moved a step forward with Aubameyang growing ‘fed up’ with Arsenal’s failure to challenge for silverware.

The 30-year-old has 18 months left on his current deal having joined from Borussia Dortmund for around £60million in 2018.

The former AC Milan and Saint-Etienne striker has scored 42 goals in 57 Arsenal starts which has left the biggest clubs in Europe keen, as the Gunners sit 10 points behind the top four.

Arsenal are now said to be willing to consider a deal to sell Aubameyang if they can recoup the bulk of the fee they shelled out for him almost two years ago.
