Arsenal's Vieira wants to prove himself at Real Madrid

Arsenal captain Patrick Vieira wants a move to Real Madrid in order to prove himself to doubters.

The Telegraph says Vieira has revealed to friends that his ambition to prove himself in another country is the driving force behind his desire to join Real Madrid.

Real were last night deciding whether to increase their original offer of £16.5 million but neither Arsenal nor Vieira's agent, Steve Kutner, were making any further comment.
