Arsenal's Vieira blasts: I'll never join Real Madrid

Arsenal skipper Patrick Vieira says he will never join Real Madrid after seeing the way close pal Claude Makelele was treated by the Spanish giants.

Vieira rapped: "After seeing the way Madrid have just treated Claude Makelele, I certainly have no regrets over not joining them."

"In fact, it reassures me I made the right choice in staying at Arsenal."

"Despite long and difficult negotiations, seeing this makes me happier still with what I did."

"I find it impossible to understand how Real Madrid can let Claude Makelele go when he is their most important player, their best player in my view."
