Arsenal's Spanish players expect Vieira decision on Real Madrid

Arsenal's Spanish pair Manuel Almunia and Jose Reyes believe no-one will be able to touch Real Madrid if they land teammate Patrick Vieira.

Reyes said: "Patrick is an impressive footballer and, with all the great players already at Madrid, they will really be strengthening."

"It will be very difficult to beat them if they sign Vieira."

Arsenal's new Spanish keeper Almunia is expecting a decision on Vieira's future by the end of this week.

Almunia, 27, said: "I suppose he will decide soon if he is staying or going as the deadline for registering the players for the Champions League is Thursday."

"Losing him will have a big effect because he is a fantastic and decisive player."
