Arsenal rejected £8M Real Madrid bid for Reyes

Arsenal have rejected a bid from Real Madrid for striker Jose Antonio Reyes.
 
The Mirror says Real made a straight cash offer of £8 million within the last two weeks but it was knocked back by the Arsenal board who said they did not want to sell.

The 21-year-old has struggled to settle - but still scored the winner in Monday night's win over Tottenham.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger believes he can persuade Reyes to stay but blamed the weather for some of his problems.

"For Reyes it might be a bit of climate problem. Sevilla and Bolton in winter - there is a big difference," he said.
