Arsenal prepare offer for Real Madrid's Guti

Arsenal are ready to make an offer for Real Madrid midfielder Guti.
 
Guti's agent, Zoran Vekic, met with Arsenal representatives last Friday and the Spanish international is excited by the prospect of moving to Highbury.

Arsenal intend to offer £7 million for Guti in the coming days, though Real Madrid are insisting on £15 million. Sources close to negotiations say Real are willing to drop their asking price to as low as £10 million should a club show concrete interest.

Vekic said last week: "Guti is very calm and has clear ideas. He knows that he would enjoy the Premier League and his priority is Arsenal. He even likes other English teams like Liverpool."
