Arsenal prepare £8M offer for Real Madrid's Guti

Arsenal have opened talks over a possible summer move for Real Madrid attacker Jose Maria Guti.

Spanish press reports yesterday suggested the Gunners had already opened negotiations and are willing to offer £8 million for the attacking midfielder.

Guti's buyout clause is £40 million, but he could be sacrificed by Real to fund team strengthening in other areas of Vicente del Bosque's squad.

The Real Madrid ace has admitted to being frustrated at the lack of first team action he has seen this season.
