Leciester City have been a club Arsene Wenger looked to poach for star names, but the English Premier League champions held their ground by retaining striker Jamie Vardy and releasing strong indications of a no-go on the Riyad Mahrez sale.
Word of Higuain’s arrival amounted to nothing when the Serie A club requested a hefty £76m fee, with the Argentine eventually moving to Juventus. And in more current news, word and rumors on a Lacazette signing have died down with no new word yet. Arsene Wenger however still insists that their camp is willing to splurge on future signings the remainder of the summer.
Amidst these stale transfer developments, there is fresh on two potential additions to the Gunners squad, this time from Santiago Bernabeu. One of these two attackers is James Rodriguez, who has been repeatedly linked with transfer out of Real Madrid this summer. Furthermore, recent rumors suggest that an unnamed English side offered £72 million for the Colombian sensation.
