Arsenal fullback Clichy: Real Madrid interest an honour

Arsenal fullback Gael Clichy admits he was flattered by the interest of Real Madrid this summer.

"When you are linked with a big club like Madrid, it's an honour," he admitted to the Guardian.

"You play for this. Your name being up there as 'one of the best players' who might play for Madrid is fantastic. But I have a contract with Arsenal and I feel deep inside I haven't given back what the club gave me, so I need to win things before I think about leaving."
