Arsenal, Chelsea target Morientes slams Real Madrid transfer policy

Fernando Morientes has taken a swipe at the transfer policy of Real Madrid president Florentino Perez.

Asked his opinion on the 'Zidanes and Pavones' approach of the Perez era, Morientes rapped: "I guess I'm a middle class type of player."

"It's possible this policy has damaged me. Somebody created a policy to ignore the middle class and I have suffered for it. Its not my place to criticise, but perhaps Madrid are ready for a change."

A target for Arsenal and Chelsea, Morientes also warned: "I went away to Monaco and while I don't consider myself a galactico, I am now considered at the top level of European players."

"I do not know if I will stay at Real Madrid, but I do know I will not spend next season on the bench."
