Arsenal boss Wenger keen on Beckham deal

Arsenal are chasing Real Madrid midfielder David Beckham for next season.

The Mail on Sunday says Arsenal will move for England captain Beckham if contract talks with Real Madrid fail to tie him to ending his career in Spain.

If Arsenal could agree the right financial package, Beckham could find himself on his way back to both the Premiership, which he left two years ago in a £24.5 million move from Manchester United to Madrid, and to London, where he was born.

Sources close to Gunners boss Arsene Wenger say he would consider a move for Beckham - but only if he agrees to a pay cut from his current salary of £100,000 a week.
