Arsenal boss Wenger has swipe at Real Madrid over Lauren

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has taken a thinly-veiled swipe at Real Madrid over reports that they have an agreement with Lauren for next season.

Real have since denied the story, but Wenger remarked: "I'm not anxious about that. Lauren is out of contract at the end of June and he can sign where he wants on January 1, but we will try to keep him."

"At the moment, he cannot have signed anywhere as it's not allowed. But in football, sometimes things happen which are not allowed - especially in that domain!"
