Arsenal boss Wenger ends Real Madrid interest

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has told Real Madrid officials to rule him out of the running to replace trainer Vicente del Bosque.

Wenger reportedly spoke with Real sports chief Jorge Valdano last week to say he could not sign for Real out of loyalty to Arsenal.

The Frenchman's decision is likely to see him never coach the Spanish giants, as one source, close to Real president Florentino Perez, said: "Arsene Wenger has said no to Real because of his great loyalty for Arsenal."

"But this means the end of a dream for him as Real will never consider him again. You cannot snub a club like Real when they come calling."
