Argentine wonderkid Lautaro Martinez claims he received an offer from Real Madrid

The 18-year-old is one of the hottest prospects from Argentina right now.

Many young footballers in the world dream of playing for Real Madrid, one of the most lucrative clubs in the world. But not many get that chance to play for the club unless they come calling.

But for 18-year-old Lautaro Martinez, the club did come calling. The Argentine youngster is one of the best talents currently and is tipped to have a bright future ahead of him. The player himself confirmed in an interview with Marca.

It is true that I received a rough draft of an offer from Real Madrid to play a year on loan, with a buy-out option, but my buy-out clause was a bit high at 8 million euros. If they really want me, they'll have to pay that amount as Racing Avellaneda won't accept anything less.

I'm constantly talking with the president of my club and I know that my coach is counting on me for the season.

Martinez is currently playing for Racing Club Avellaneda which is a team in the top division of Argentine football. The club are considered traditionally as one of the big 5 in the country. 

Madrid are known to acquire the best youngsters from the world and Martinez has been deemed worthy of that bracket. Marca also asked the youngster if he received any offers from Valencia or Atletico Madrid.

"I know nothing from Atletico but Valencia, after signing Rodrigo de Paul in the past, have been trying to buy three Racing youngsters: Fernando Valenzuela, Braian Mansilla, and myself."

Martinez also revealed what the ones close to him felt about a move to Real Madrid

"My father, who was a footballer, is who I turn to for advice. He tells me to enjoy myself, but always responsibly, and to stay humble like I have been until now. He says to try and get better day after day and to learn from the best. Small details are what make the biggest difference in the end."
