Arbeloa to reject MLS offers for Real Madrid stay

Former Spanish international defender Alvaro Arbeloa will reject several offers from MLS to remain with Real Madrid, despite falling to third in line.

According to MARCA, Arbeloa has been recently linked with a move to America and West Ham United, but the 32-year-old has chosen to see out the final year of his contract with Los Blancos.

Arbeloa saw his role diminish following the return of Dani Carvajal two summers ago and looks to fall even further down the line with the club’s signing of Danilo from Porto.

However, despite the fact that he will rarely play this season, Arbeloa is staying true to the club and accepting his role as a mentor to the younger defenders.

The offers from MLS almost certainly guarantee Arbeloa the chance to play consistent minutes as a starter, but the former Liverpool defender is convinced that the best place for his career and his family is still in Madrid.
