Ancelotti’s pep talk to Real Madrid players ahead of RB Leipzig clash: “We’re going to win”

Returning to their stomping ground today, the squad once again is motivated to emulate their past glories.

Facing off against RB Leipzig in the first leg of the Round of 16 tie, they will be hosted at the Red Bull Arena.

Ahead of the game during the training sessions held at the stadium, Carlo Ancelotti gave a motivational talk to his players, as relayed by Mundo Deportivo.

After recently securing an assertive 4-0 win against Girona, Real Madrid are expected to be the major favorites heading into this highly anticipated tie.

However, Carlo Ancelotti, eager to see his team carry their positive momentum, passionately exclaimed: “We are going to win…we have to play a great game.”

The Italian coach knows a thing or two about triumphing in this competition, with the four-time Champions League winner well aware of how to bring the best out of his players.

In the pre-match conference, he further acknowledged Leipzig’s strengths but added that Real Madrid are motivated to grab victory.

"We are doing well because I think we have a good streak, we are in a good moment. The team is motivated and excited, they are returning to the Champions League, the competition that we like a lot and we are playing against a powerful rival."

"Leipzig plays with intensity and quality in attack. We have to plan a complete game in the defensive and offensive aspects," he voiced in the media.
