Ancelotti coming to Madrid insist Spanish press

The Spanish sporting press insisted on that Carlo Ancelotti will be Real Madrid's coach next season although he has just signed a contract extension until 2008 with AC Milan.

AS newspaper claimed on Thursday Ancelotti would be coming and Marca on Sunday also said he would be joining Real, explaining the contract extension was a ploy by AC Milan owner and Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi.

Marca said that in reality, Berlusconi had given his thumbs-up to Ancelotti leaving the club.

The Spanish press has been speculating hard in recent weeks on who will take over from Madrid's stand-in boss, Juan Ramon Lopez Caro, next season.

Apart from Ancelotti, other candidates include Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger, Juventus coach Fabio Capello, German Bernd Schuster, the boss of Spanish first division side Getafe, plus Real's former coach Vicente del Bosque.
