Almeria striker Negredo: Real Madrid wanted to re-sign me

Almeria striker Alvaro Negredo admits Real Madrid expressed interest in re-signing him.

"They spoke to my agent and from the beginning I was told they could not exercise the option to re-sign me," said Negredo. "And here I remain calm and happy."

"I do not have anything clear but I have goals in my career and one of them, obviously, is playing for Madrid. But at the moment this cannot happen."
