Agent says Inter fullback Maicon would welcome Real Madrid move

The agent of Douglas Maicon says the Inter Milan defender would welcome a move to Real Madrid.

Maicon has been linked with Real and Manchester City ever since the arrival at Inter of former Santos fullback Jonathan.

"It’s a year that we have been talking about this," agent Antonio Caliendo told IlSussidiario.net. "The transfer market runs at such a speed that things can change from one day to another."

"One thing is for sure, Inter chief Massimo Moratti has no intention of accepting a Real player as part of a Maicon sale. The President wants just cash."

"It’s hard to say how much. Last year he rejected a €25m offer. If the same offer arrived this year I think he’d sell, but I’m not the one who sets the price. Inter will do that."

"Maicon has a good relationship with [former Inter boss Jose] Mourinho," the representative continued.

"But I don’t think President Florentino Perez is convinced about spending so much money on a player who has won a lot, but is no longer that young."
