Agent says Diarra waiting for Real Madrid offer

The agent of Mahamadou Diarra says the Lyon midfielder is waiting on an offer to arrive from Real Madrid.

According to Spanish daily Marca Diarra wants to become part of the Ramon Calderon revolution at the Santiago Bernabeu.

He's one of the hottest midfield properties in Europe, attracting interest from Manchester United and Chelsea and being valued at upwards of ?20million.

Calderon has already appointed former Juventus boss Fabio Capello as his new coach, and strong defensive midfielders have been key to Capello's success down the years.

Now Diarra's representative Frederic Guerra says he's waiting for contact from Madrid to firm up their reported interest in the player.
