Agent: Real Madrid’s Ruud van Nistelrooy To Roma On Loan Is Possible

Real Madrid striker Ruud van Nistelrooy could make a winter switch to Roma.

The Dutch poacher recently announced that he may leave the Spanish club during the winter transfer window in order to boost his chances of playing in the 2010 World Cup.

The striker is behind the likes of Raul, Karim Benzema and Gonzalo Higuain in the pecking order, and a potential move to Italy has been touted in the press.

Prominent FIFA agent Mino Raiola believes that a loan move to the Stadio Olimpico is a possibility.

"Van Nistelrooy is finding little space at Real. His goal is the World Cup and he wants to persuade the Dutch coach to take him to South Africa. When big teams are involved, I never see problems with transfers," he told Radio Radio.

"If the player agrees, an operation is feasible. There would be a paid salary for only six months. However, I don't know the opinion of [coach Claudio] Ranieri and Roma."

The Giallorossi have been searching for a partner for Francesco Totti in attack due to inconsistent performances from Mirko Vucinic. It is thought that the former Manchester United star could fit the bill.

The transfer window opens in January.
