Agent: Real Madrid's Geremi a Chelsea player this week

The agent of Real Madrid midfielder Geremi says the Cameroon international is on his way to Chelsea.

Real have accepted Chelsea's £6.9 million offer for Geremi and the player's agent Barry Silkmen told BBC Sport Online: "Geremi's lawyer is working on the financial details of the contract and we're not far off agreeing personal terms."

"They should be sorted out in the next 24 hours, otherwise they will be held over until Monday."

"And then it's just a case of Geremi passing his medical next week."

"For Geremi it's a great opportunity - he'd probably only play 12 or 13 games a season for Real but at Chelsea he'll be a regular."

"He had a terrific season for Middlesbrough and Chelsea have got an excellent player for a decent price."
