Agent: Real Madrid's Emerson deal depends on Juventus

The agent of AS Roma midfielder Emerson has told Real Madrid they must negotiate with Juventus if they want to sign the Brazilian.

"I have spoken with Florentino Perez and he knows the situation well. We have given our word to Juventus and the only possibility that he plays for Real Madrid is that they negotiate with the Turin team," declared Gilmar Veloz to Gazzetta dello Sport.

"It has not changed anything. Emerson wants to play for Juventus and Turin is the city in which he wants to live. Capello calls him every day and asks him when he will he arrive."

He added, "Emerson does not have to ask permission from Roma, the club has a contract until 2005, but with Juventus. This is a new paradox in the negotiations between both clubs."
